Citizens Info Service

Wide-ranging information services

Dublin City Centre Citizens Information Service is a non-governmental organisation with charitable status, which is supported and funded by the Citizens Information Board. It provides a free, impartial and confidential information, advice and advocacy service to the public on civil and social rights and entitlements. Information is provided on a wide range of state services and entitlements, including:

  • Social Welfare
  • Employment Rights
  • Family Matters
  • Migrant Rights
  • Health Services
  • Education
  • Tax

Information is also provided on local services and supports. Service users can get help with filling in application forms or writing official letters. The CIS may also make representations on behalf of clients to help them access benefits or entitlements, particularly in relation to social welfare and employment. Over 60% of service users are local people, while about 40% work in the area or are passers by. The service reaches a wide range of users including migrants, asylum seekers and refugees.

We are located on the ground floor of the Macro Resource Centre. You can call in person to see us, or contact us by telephone or email.
